Christmas is over but it's still in my heart <3 !

It's still warm and shining inside my heart. :)

I've given my christmas gift to Jesus! Yesterday was His birthday!

So what did I do during Christmas day?
I went to church to help out in count offering then after that me and my BF went for lunch in Kar Heong.
After had our lunch, I slept. Took afternoon nap accidentally. -.-
Btw, we've planned to have mini BBQ in front of my BF house, so we did it ! *finally*

Sadly, and again I didn't take any picture. The food was too good so I didn't manage to get picture. >_<
We prepared cocktail sausages, bacons, mashed potato, marinated chicken breast and pork shoulder and corn. Quite a lot for 2 persons dinner huh? hahaha.

Quite random here, but let me give you some of my cooking tips.

Mashed Potato.
1. Cooked the potato cubes with the cold water in the beginning.
2. How to know whether it's cook or not? You can just poke into the potatoes. If it's soft then it's cooked.
3. Then you sieve the potato, remove the water.
4. No sieve or mashed utensils? It's easy! You can use fork instead. It works! I used fork. Just mashed it all
5. Add milk / cream to make it softer.
6. Add salt, herbs (I put cajun and mixed herbs), pepper and parmesan cheese. :)

You want the mashed potato looks nicer and taste better?

7. Few slices of bacon, slice it smaller pieces. Stir fried it until it's quite dry. Remember no need to put oil because bacon contains of oil as well. You don't want the bacon to be oily.
8. When it's dry, add the mashed potato and mix mix mix.
9. Serve on the plate.
10. DONE ! :)

*not the real pic* =p

Marinated Meats.
1. Cut the meats into cubes. (I had 1 breast, 2 shoulder pork)
2. Add Kikoman Teriyaki Sauce (100ml) , Salt (2 tsp), Cajun (3 pinches) , Mixed Herbs (1pinch) , Black Pepper (1 pinch), Sugar (1 tsp).
3. Add slice garlics. (around 7 pieces)
4. All the ingredients in step 2 must use feeling. Well, slightly put more than usual because the taste will become lesser when you cook it.
5. Put inside chiller and consume it within 24 hours.

Why 24 hours? It's to avoid the contamination and bacteria.

Quite random :p but just share with you all. :)

Christmas Parteeehhhhh !

I just had a christmas party in my home. Well, supposedly in the BBQ there, but unfortunately the weather wasn't supporting us. It was drizzling since around 3, stop around 5, then drizzled again. Such a weather :S So, that is how it ended up in my home!

Become a host wasn't easy at all. I do realize this because my mom always do open house every year for Christmas and Chinese New Year. Last time, I only helped out, but now I was the one who need to prepare. Cindy also helped to bring foods, thank God she bought so many foods! Since the BBQ was cancel, so we decided to fried the chicken wing. Then suddenly this Jason, he said that he brought the stuffs for steamboat. We all was like ?!?!

I really want to thank God for the creativity He has given to us. There's so many things alternative ways. God's plan always the best !

Anyway, I prepared the mashed potato, tang yuen (onde-onde), and jellies. Not all people love it, but I was happy because some of them enjoyed it!

I know every time my post always been so boring without pics. I didn't manage to take any pics because I was busy in the kitchen. But I enjoyed it a lot even though my back pain.

Here's a pic that I only can post which the present for the exchange gift ^^

It's a Christmas Tumbler! Gonna use it :)

Didn't expect to get tumbler, but somehow I feel that I need it. :)

Thank You Jesus!

Christmas

Hi Guys!
Christmas is coming up within 4 days! I can’t wait for it !
What do you think about Christmas? Some people say “Time to buy pressie for the people they love”, “Santa Claus!”, “Christmas Tree!”, “Christmas decoration and lights”, and etc. Do you know that Christmas is more than that? About 2000 years ago, a baby was born in a manger. He is Jesus Christ, son of God.
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.”
God really loves us that He gave His only son to be born in the earth so save all of us.
Friends, Christmas is more than christmas tree, santa claus, presents, etc. It’s about to celebrate a baby is born. When you have your friends or relatives give birth, you will give good presents to them. As well as Jesus, as we are the children of God, we ought to give our best presents to Jesus on Christmas days.
How to give Jesus Christmas presents? That’s a good question. The most important thing is our attitude, do we really want to give to Jesus out of our love? If yes, then you can give through the offering in the church. “Then, how the church going to give to Jesus?” Not only children will ask this, but adults as well. Since we can’t see our God, how we’re going to give? Giving to church is same like you give to the House of God. Church is God’s House. We give to bring glory and praise to our mighty Lord!
This weekend I’m gonna prepare a good Christmas pressie for my saviour Jesus Christ! :)
Btw guys, don’t make Christmas a short form become XMAS. It’s the born day of Christ Jesus, it’s meant to be Christmas. Not replaced the Christ with X. :)
Cheers!
Jessica

Still In Love with You
